Erik Ravhed

Erik Ravhed has been a key member of T-Kartor for over 11 years and has played an essential role in advancing T-Kartor Iris, the company's flagship product. His journey reflects both deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of customer needs, making him an integral part of the team. 

Erik began his career at T-Kartor as a software developer, honing his technical skills and gaining comprehensive insight into the company's products and processes. Around three years ago, he transitioned into the role of Product Owner for Iris, taking on responsibilities that include planning product advancements, managing customer requests, and ensuring that the product aligns with market demands. 

Even in his leadership role, Erik remains actively involved in technical decision-making, applying his development background to guide the product strategically.

One of Erik's favorite aspects of working at T-Kartor is the collaborative and positive culture. He appreciates the personal relationships among colleagues and enjoys the supportive environment, where teamwork and open communication are valued. 

He also sees the company's international presence as a major advantage, providing opportunities to learn from diverse perspectives and combine different working styles. While coordinating across time zones can be challenging, Erik notes that careful planning and communication help teams work effectively, creating a global yet close-knit workplace.

Erik is optimistic about the future of the geospatial industry, noting that the demand for spatial data visualization and analysis continues to grow. He believes T-Kartor has exciting opportunities to expand Iris's customer base, develop solutions for cities of all sizes, and continue moving toward a product-focused model. 

He encourages aspiring geospatial professionals to stay curious, embrace learning opportunities, and appreciate the unique visual feedback the industry offers.

Outside of work, Erik is embracing life as a new father, balancing family responsibilities with his professional goals. He enjoys running and programming in his free time and looks forward to participating in an upcoming race in October. These hobbies, he says, help him maintain balance and bring fresh energy to his work.
