Kristianstad, Sweden –T-Kartor Group has renamed their recently expanded campus “Globe Point” to mirror the name of their North American subsidiary, T-Kartor USA, which is located in the iconic Globe Building in St. Louis, MO. The new name reflects T-Kartor Group’s ongoing commitment to unity and synergy across their global footprint.

“We envision the Globe Point campus in Kristianstad as a space primarily dedicated to fostering stronger connections with our clients and providing a conducive environment for our employees”, said Mats Pålsson, CEO T-Kartor Group.

Simon Bailey, CEO of T-Kartor USA added, “This alignment in naming not only emphasizes our shared objectives and mutual growth as a global organization but also underlines the strong bonds that unite our diverse locations. We feel it’s a testament to the cohesive and inclusive spirit that embodies T-Kartor’s work ethos.”

T-Kartor USA moved into The Globe Building almost 5 years ago and was followed into the building by other GEOINT companies including MAXAR, Ball Aerospace, and most recently, Esri. “T-Kartor USA was one of the first to recognize the advantages of our building which now anchors the Downtown North Innovation District located just one mile from the new campus of NGA West,” said Jeremy Salvatori, Globe Building’s Asset Manager.

The Globe Building has worked to nurture a community of like-minded GEOINT tenants by adding several key amenities including:

  • Redundant electrical power
  • Collaborative workspaces
  • A Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
  • Extremely fast and reliable internet speeds
  • New High-capacity passenger elevators that serve both levels of underground parking all the way up to the top floor
  • State-of-the-art fitness facilities including a gym, lockers, and showers

Added Salvatori, “Innovative GEOINT companies like T-Kartor USA that combine cartographic, GIS, and programming skills are the backbone of the St. Louis GEOINT Community that not only has a proud past in St. Louis, but an extremely bright future. We are humbled and honored that a like-minded GEOINT community over 4,500 miles away in Sweden recognizes our progress as well.”

When we started working on the next generation of Iris, the goal wasn't to build just another content management platform or data portal. We were trying to solve a deeper, more persistent problem that nearly every organization inevitably faces: the inability to connect information from systems that were never designed to work together in the first place. Whether a government agency manages sensitive spatial data or a coalition of partners responds to a crisis across borders, the challenge is always the same. Data is often stuck in silos, systems are traditionally built by vendors using proprietary formats, and people who need answers fast are left waiting while teams scramble to translate, convert, and clean up the mess. This was the pain point Iris was designed to eliminate.
