About the Role
The Manager of Strategic Partnerships (MSP) is responsible for furthering the company’s business through relationships. This role is the primary point of contact and manager for these relationships and is responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing a plan to pursue, presenting it to management for approval, and driving it to conclusion.
- Manage and expand relationships with government clients and federal contractors to support growth in GIS and IT solution areas.
- Champion and manage strategic initiatives focused on federal program growth and long-term contracts.
- Identify and develop targeted outreach strategies for new DoD and civil agency clients.
- Lead proposal development and technical response efforts, including GSA Schedules, RFIs, RFPs, and task orders.
- Translate complex technical requirements into strategic business proposals with clear messaging.
- Evaluate potential federal partners and subcontractors for alignment with geospatial project needs.
- Lead post-award activities, including project kickoff, stakeholder communication, and performance reporting.
- Prepare detailed project costings, schedules, and staffing plans for overlapping federal projects.
- Monitor and report on project P&L, utilization, and key performance indicators.
- Represent the organization externally at industry events and meetings with senior stakeholders.
- Leverage prior experience managing large federal programs (e.g., USAF, NGA, Army IGI&S) to drive strategy.
- Coordinate internally across departments to align technical capabilities with partnership goals.
- Participate in executive leadership discussions and strategic planning activities.
Your Profile
Qualified candidates must meet the minimum necessary qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, specifically in geospatial and federal DoD environments.
- Active PMP certification.
- Proven leadership managing federal programs with 10–40 staff and budgets up to $80M.
- Experience with GSA Schedules, NGA, Army IGI&S, and federal RFP/proposal processes.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance (e.g., SDSFIE, DISA eMASS), virtualization, and enterprise systems.
- Track record of business development and growing federal contract portfolios.
- Commitment to a minimum of 18 months in the role.
- Willingness to travel for partner and project engagements
