Municipality of Brno
T-Kartor Group (TKG), through T-Mapy, has created and supports a complete geographic information system for Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. TKG delivers map and database applications for municipality staff as well as for the public. A wide variety of intranet/internet applications are supported including:
- a digital map of Brno including a 3D-model of the city
- real estate values, searches and registrations
- town planning information
- geologic characteristics and mining information
- protected natural areas
- sources of air pollution and waste dumps
- road and excavation works
- data management, system integration and security (CEU)
TKG's own technology, T-MapServer, provides the technology platform for most client/server GIS applications. ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Server - ArcIMS, ArcSDE) are also being used for some applications within the overall system. The development work has been on-going since 2006 according to long-term phased implementation concept proposed by TKG.
