Connect corridor bus maps
South Yorkshire PTE have commissioned T-Kartor to create a suite of software for automating the creation of passenger information. The Connect Corridor map is a schematic diagram showing a selection of routes which have a section of the route in common. The diagram places the destinations in consecutive order, showing destinations which are shared by several routes, and where the routes diverge.
This type of bus information is stop specific, meaning that it applies to one or few stops only. In order to create stop specific information for 6000 bus stops in the network, SYPTE wished to create these maps automatically. The tool is connected to the latest bus data, and updates can be created as needed across the network.
