By March the 1st Jacob Gadd is employed at T-Kartor Production as Country Manager for Denmark.
Jacob Gadd was born in 1961. Jacob has had a long and quite exciting career within the world of geography.
From
1981 to 1998 was employed at the National Survey and Cadastral (KMS)
in Denmark. Originally Jacob was educated as topographer. Later on he
was specialized in Photogrammetry and during 1996-1998 took the
degree Master of Technology Management at Aalborg University.
In
time at KMS Jacob worked as programmer, development of data models,
project manager among other things. When Jacob left KMS he was head
of the photogrammetric section.
From 1998 to 2006 Jacob was production manager at Krak with responsibility for both the printed map books and digital maps. www.krak.dk was and still are the most used geographic service at the internet in Denmark.
Jacob’s
latest job was as managing director in Geoforum Denmark (which
is the association of geographic branch in Denmark). Here Jacob
developed Geoforums economy and modernized some of its business
activities.
Jacob
Gadds career has led him from the specialist and the expert and on to
management and from development to production and on to business.
It
was at the time at Krak Jacob got to know T-Kartor.
“From
the very start I have experienced the contact to T-Kartor very warm
and positive. The communication has always been straight foreward and
easy – if you ignore the few differences between the Swedish and
the Danish language.
Everytime I have visited T-Kartor at
Kristianstad, I have always met a lot of kind people and a very nice
spirit.
When Sten Ravhed told me, that T-Kartor has become the
Erdas partner in Scandinavia and needed a person to handle the Danish
market, regarding both Erdas and T-Kartor products, I had no doubt.
I
have always liked T-Kartor a lot and the ranch of products from Erdas
by 2009 seems both exciting and powerful.
I see this job as
a wonderful challenge.
For me it is really
great to use so many of my skills and experiences. I can use my
experiences from developing and production to understand need of our
clients and our products. The time at both Krak and Geoforum has made
me appreciate a
healthy business.
I look forward to really getting started - and I know this will only be a success when we start to meet the faces of satisfied clients" concludes Jacob Gadd.
